Het was reeds aangekondigd bij de lancering van de Gopro HD Hero 2 en in februari zou het nu op de markt komen: Wi-Fi BacPac + Wi-Fi Remote Combo Kit.
Via deze wifi-module, kan je vanop afstand een Gopro gaan bedienen (denk aan de mogelijkheden met remote quadricopter heli’s of met de flymount bovenaan je surfzeil. Deze remote controle-functie kan trouwens ook met de originele Gopro HD hero.
Nog leuker wordt deze wifi-bacpac met de GoPro HD hero2, waarmee er ook live-streaming mogelijk is tot wel 50 toestellen. Deze live-streaming kan dan gebeuren als er een wifi hotspot in de buurt is en geeft onbegrensde mogelijkheden en zelf voor het gebruik als tijdelijke bewakingscamera. Vanaf februari zal deze module te koop zijn .
